As a Liberal Democrats candidate for Lancashire councillor for Lancaster East and by-
elections for Bulk, Katia stands for resolving traffic issues in Lancaster by supporting the
initiative to build a new bridge over the river Lune. Also, Katia is in favour of reducing
unessential car traffic in the city centre in line with declared climate emergency, carbon zero
emissions by 2030. To strengthen welfare system Katia is an advocate for Universal Basic
Income (UBI), which would give ‘regular an unconditional’ financial payment to every
person. When elected, Katia will make sure the voice of local people will be heard, addressed
and acted upon in the Council.
